Collect plastic in your municipality too

Cities and municipalities are responsible for the disposal of household waste. They can grant permission to private companies to set up plastic collections in their municipality. For a long time, it was difficult to assess whether household plastics were actually being recycled in an ecologically sound manner and whether the plastic cycle was being closed.

The Swiss Plastic Recyclers Association (VSPR) is now providing a remedy here with mandatory certification and precise monitoring. Disposal companies that are certified by the VSPR undertake to comply with high environmental standards. This enables cities and municipalities to recommend the collection of household plastics to their residents with conviction.
