Recycle packaging instead of destroying it

Most food is packaged in plastic - plastic that has a short lifespan of just a few weeks. Food packaging has high hygiene requirements and is therefore very suitable for material recycling.

A look in the shopping cart shows what belongs in the collection bag, in the separate collection or in the garbage bin.

PET beverage bottles

PET beverage bottles have their own material cycle, which is financed by an advance recycling fee. They can therefore be handed in free of charge at the official collection points.

Soiled packaging

Heavily soiled items or items with residual contents do not belong in the collection bag, as they can cause contamination of the sorting machine.

Office supplies

Office materials such as tape dispensers, filing trays or folders do not belong in the collection bag. They often contain additives that should not be recycled.

Toys

Toys must not be collected in the collection bag. They often contain additives that should not be added to the material cycle. Some also contain batteries, which can cause a fire in the sorting plant.

 

Tip:
Toys in good condition are welcome in second-hand shops.
